My series CŪ—the Old English word for cow—was shown at the YEAST Photography Festival in Matino, southern Italy.
A cow is more than the sum of its usable parts. From a nutritional perspective, humans believe that the individual elements constitute the animal. In Western culture in particular, we either see the animal as a whole and want to cuddle it, or reduced to a few parts, such as clean steaks or minced meat.

These images confront the viewer with a different perspective, and perhaps urge them to enter into a kind of visual dialog with this subject.
