2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you access the website, the web server processes connection data that is technically necessary. This may include, in particular, your IP address, the date and time of access, the file or URL accessed, the amount of data transferred, the referrer URL, browser type and version, and your operating system.
This processing is necessary to deliver the website, ensure its stability and security, and identify technical errors and abusive access. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in operating this website securely and reliably.
STRATO processes this data as a processor. According to STRATO, host names and IP addresses provided for customers are anonymised in the access log files; these log files are available for the previous six weeks. Error logs are available for a shorter period. Data may be stored for longer where this is necessary to investigate specific security incidents or comply with legal obligations.
3. Encryption
This website is transmitted in encrypted form via HTTPS/TLS. This is intended to protect content transferred between your browser and the server from unauthorised interception.
4. Technically necessary browser storage
The website may store technically necessary information in your browser in order to provide functions you have expressly requested. This includes, in particular, your chosen project view (“Single” or “Grid”). This setting is stored only locally in your browser and is not used for analytics or advertising.
Under Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, this information may be stored without consent where it is necessary for a function you have requested. Where personal data is processed in this context, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in providing a consistent and user-friendly presentation.
WordPress may also set technically necessary cookies when authorised users log in to the administration area. Based on the website’s current technical setup, no analytics, marketing or profiling cookies are used for ordinary visitors.
5. Local fonts and media
The fonts used on this website are loaded locally from the website’s own server. No connection is made to Fontshare, Google Fonts or other font providers.
The images displayed on the website are also generally delivered from the website’s own server. Image files may contain copyright and descriptive metadata such as creator, copyright notice, title, description and keywords. This information is used for rights attribution, discoverability and accessibility; under the intended workflow, it does not include GPS data.
6. Contact
If you contact me by email or telephone, I process the data you provide—particularly your name, contact details, the content of your enquiry and, where applicable, project-related information—in order to respond to your enquiry and continue the communication.
If your enquiry concerns a contract or steps taken prior to entering into a contract, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. In all other cases, processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in responding to enquiries addressed to me. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected. Otherwise, I delete the data once the enquiry has been fully dealt with and there are no legitimate grounds for further storage.
Please note that standard email communication outside this website is not necessarily protected by end-to-end encryption.
7. External links
The website contains links to external services, for example professional networks, social media, associations or project partners. A connection to the respective provider is established only when you follow such a link. From that point onwards, the respective provider is responsible for the processing of data on its service. Linked content is not automatically embedded on this website.
8. Recipients and transfers to third countries
In connection with hosting, STRATO GmbH receives personal data as a processor. Other recipients receive data only where this is necessary to perform a contract, comply with a legal obligation, safeguard legitimate interests or where you have given your consent.
Based on the website’s current technical setup, merely visiting this website is not intended to result in personal data being transferred to recipients in countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area. If you follow an external link, such a transfer may be carried out by the respective provider.
9. Storage period
Personal data is stored only for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose. It is then deleted unless statutory retention obligations, the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, or other lawful grounds require further storage. Specific periods are stated in the relevant sections where they have been determined.
10. Your rights
Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you have, in particular, the right of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16 GDPR), erasure (Article 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR), data portability (Article 20 GDPR) and objection (Article 21 GDPR). You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future.
Where processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to that processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In particular, you may contact:
State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia
Postfach 20 04 44
40102 Düsseldorf

11. Requirement to provide data and automated decision-making
You are not required to actively provide personal data in order to use this website for information purposes only. Your browser automatically transmits the connection data that is technically necessary. No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy will be updated if the website’s functions, the services used or the legal requirements change. The version published on this website at the relevant time applies.
