For Drive2Extremes, the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo travelled from the northern polar region in Levi, Finland, to the Arabian desert in Liwa, United Arab Emirates.
I photographed the car in the polar region and then placed it in exactly the same perspective, camera angle and position in the desert. The two environments were combined using my multilayer approach—what I occasionally call my multivision mojo.
Alongside the photography, filmmaker Nicholas Schrunk and FPV drone pilot Johnny Schaer created the campaign film. The finished work travelled far beyond the shoot itself, including an appearance on a Times Square billboard.
A production built on precision, weather, patience and a very good crew—and one of those rare assignments where the process was every bit as memorable as the result.
